Are you interested in Ashtanga Yoga? Have you been going to led ashtanga yoga classes but hesitating to come to Mysore-style classes? Then this is the course for you!

Beginners often feel unsure about mysore-style ashtanga yoga classes, assuming that they will need to know the sequence before they start. Learning ashtanga yoga in a mysore-style class is the best and safest way to learn ashtanga yoga, as it ensures that beginners are working at their own pace and receiving individual attention. In this beginners introduction session, you will be guided through the fundamentals of the ashtanga yoga practice including breath, bandhas, the suyra namaskars (sun salutations) and the standing postures with the emphasis on committing these to memory. These sessions aim to help those new to the practice feel more confident about joining the mysore-style class and also provide a chance to ask questions and hear in a little more detail about the foundations of the practice. Many people who have been attending led classes for some time but would like to make the transition to a self-practice class find these sessions very useful. Our beginners sessions are suitable for complete beginners and those with some experience of yoga but who are new to self-practice style Astanga yoga. You will recieve a five morning mysore-style class pass valid for the week following the introduction session.
